Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Assistant to join a well-established organisation based in York on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a payroll professional who can hit the ground running and confidently support the full payroll process from start to finish.
The Role:
*Supporting the processing of weekly and monthly payroll
*Processing starters, leavers, and changes to terms & conditions
*Calculating statutory payments
*Managing auto-enrolment pension contributions
*Processing overtime, bonuses, commissions, and expenses
*Handling payroll queries and providing excellent support to employees
*Assisting with payroll reconciliations and ensuring compliance with HMRC legislation
*Supporting submissions and maintaining accurate payroll records
About You:
*Proven experience within a payroll position
*Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory payments
*Confident using payroll systems and Excel
*High level of accuracy and attention to detail
*Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
*Available immediately to start
