Job Description:
Aspire People is recruiting a resilient and empathetic SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a welcoming Salford primary school.
The school places strong emphasis on behaviour support, emotional wellbeing, and positive relationships.
Responsibilities:
Supporting pupils who display challenging behaviour
Delivering 1:1 interventions focused on emotional regulation
Implementing behaviour support strategies
Supporting pupils during transitions and unstructured times
Assisting with differentiated learning tasks
Promoting resilience, confidence, and independence
Requirements:
Experience working with SEMH pupils or challenging behaviour
Background in youth work, mentoring, or child support welcomed
Strong behaviour management strategies
Patient, consistent, and proactive approach
Committed to safeguarding and inclusion
