Job Description:
Newstaff Employment Services is currently seeking an Estimator to join an expanding team, on behalf of our construction industry client.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator who is looking to take on more responsibility and contribute to a variety of exciting construction projects.
As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects from inception through to completion. You will collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that all project costs are accounted for while identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.

Responsibilities *Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for a range of construction projects.
*Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to gather information for estimates.
*Attend pre-tender and project meetings to gain a thorough understanding of project requirements.
*Collaborate with project managers and other team members to identify potential risks and scope changes.
*Analyse subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
*Generate and maintain accurate cost databases for future reference.
*Utilise estimating software to produce detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders.
*Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements
*Proven experience as a qualified estimator in the construction industry.
*Strong understanding of construction methods, costs, and regulations.
*Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
*Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
*Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
*Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
*Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is preferred but not mandatory.
