Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for customers in various settings, including home care and assisted living environments. This role requires a blend of practical skills and emotional intelligence to ensure the well-being and comfort of those under your care.
We are currently recruiting for a Tea and Bed Carer to join our growing team. This role is for 16 hours per week, covering four shifts. Shifts are currently scheduled from 5:00pm to 9:15pm, with a break in between; however, the successful candidate must be available between 4:00pm and 11:00pm to allow for flexibility as the service grows.
As a newly established and growing domiciliary care company, we were founded by experienced professionals who have worked within the industry and understand both its strengths and where it can sometimes fall short. Our vision is to provide a truly person-centred, wraparound service that ensures every customer’s needs are not only met, but exceeded. We complete all household tasks and more, but at the heart of what we do is meaningful companionship, taking the time to genuinely understand our customers, their routines, preferences, and what matters most to them. We naturally expect our team to go above and beyond, delivering care with warmth, dignity, and compassion. At the same time, we fully recognise how rewarding yet challenging this role can be. That’s why we are committed to building a supportive management team and a positive working environment where our staff feel valued, listened to, and cared for because looking after our team is just as important as looking after our customers.
Responsibilities
*Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
*Assist customers with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
*Support customers with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and medication reminders.
*Engage in behaviour management techniques to promote positive interactions and emotional well-being.
*Drive customers to appointments or social activities as required.
*Maintain a clean and safe environment for customers, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
*Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
*Foster a supportive and nurturing relationship with clients, promoting independence while ensuring their needs are met.
Experience
*Previous experience in caregiving, home care, or senior care is essential.
*Certification in First Aid or relevant training is beneficial.
*Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families are essential.
If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and possess the necessary skills to provide high-quality care, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position as a Caregiver.
