Job Description:
Role: Head of Procurement Transformation & Operations
To lead and support the Procurement function through a period of strategic transformation, encompassing changes to team structure, ways of working, and the function’s overall role. This position ensures procurement processes are streamlined, compliant, and fully aligned with operational needs, while empowering the team to deliver measurable value across the business. This will be a 9 month FTC.
Key Accountabilities:
*Oversee onboarding, compliance, and master data management for all third-party suppliers of goods and services.
*Enable divisions to manage their own Purchase Orders (POs) through a seamless, self-service marketplace, ensuring all suppliers, rates, and commercial terms are verified.
*Conduct regular supplier reviews and audits to uphold performance standards and compliance.
*Develop and implement sourcing processes that anticipate operational requirements and facilitate timely, effective delivery.
*Document and maintain procurement policies and processes to support efficiency, compliance, and organizational objectives.
*Partner with the Source-to-Pay (S2P) consultant to support the successful delivery of the S2P Transformation initiative.
Key Objectives:
*Ensure rigorous onboarding and compliance for all third-party suppliers.
*Maintain accurate and controlled master data across multiple systems, introducing appropriate process controls.
*Design, implement, and document processes aligned with S2P transformation goals and operational requirements.
*Provide business partnering support to all divisions to drive procurement effectiveness.
*Deliver professional development and coaching to the Procurement team, fostering both individual growth and team performance.
*Redefine job descriptions and set annual objectives for all Procurement roles to reflect the updated structure and responsibilities.
Candidate Qualifications & Qualities:
*CIPS qualified, or nearing completion.
*Over 15 years’ experience in Procurement, spanning strategic and operational roles.
*Demonstrated experience with ERP implementations and strong understanding of Master Data management.
*Calm, assertive, and persuasive, with the ability to influence and manage stakeholders across all levels.
*Experience operating in environments where Health & Safety is a critical component of operations.
*Adaptable, pragmatic, and able to balance strategic priorities with practical execution.
