Job Description:
Welder / Fabricator - Equipment Manufacturing c£36-40k + Bonus
South East
We are urgently seeking an experienced Welder/Fabrication Engineer to join a leading manufacturing and engineering services company supporting exciting upcoming projects for both UK and export clients.
This is a hands-on, varied role working on the construction of processing equipment, combining practical welding and fabrication with collaboration across the production team and, occasionally, client sites.
Pay: PAYE: £20/hr (but this is a permanent role) - shifts as per below + overtime etc
Key Responsibilities
*Carry out welding and fabrication in stainless steel (1.0mm – 12mm thickness), including pipework/purge.
*Work with TIG and Synergic MIG welding processes.
*Read and interpret engineering drawings, understanding tolerances, bend allowances, and fabrication standards.
*Maintain high-quality standards on all projects, whether in the factory or onsite.
*Follow Health & Safety policies and maintain discipline, hygiene, and attendance standards.
*Collaborate effectively as part of a team.
Requirements*City & Guilds qualification in Welding and Fabrication, or apprenticeship in a recognised engineering environment is advantageous.
*Experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment (industrial equipment / factory).
*Strong practical fabrication skills and familiarity with sheet metal machinery.
Contract Details - Hours: 39 hours/week, Monday – Friday*Monday: 7:30 – 13:00 / 13:30 – 16:00
*Tuesday: 7:30 – 13:00 / 13:30 – 16:30
*Wednesday/Thursday: 7:30 – 13:00 / 13:30 – 17:00
*Friday: 7:30 – 12:00 (unless working overtime)
Breaks: 10-minute morning break, 30-minute lunch.
Overtime: Paid at 1.5× hourly rate Monday–Friday and Saturday mornings – if required; a reasonable amount of overtime may be requested by Supervisors or Managers.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled welder/fabricator to work on interesting projects with a supportive team and the potential for contract extension.
