Customer Service Representative
*Hourly Rate: £13.50 - £14.00
*Location: Newbury
*Job Type: Temporary (6 months)
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative for a well-established client in the Newbury area. This role is to start as soon as possible and will be on a temporary basis for a minimum of 6 months. Candidates must be able to commit to the duration of the contract.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Process repair and work orders efficiently.
*Arrange returns and collections, handle proof of delivery, and manage pricing requests.
*Manage incoming emails and calls, ensuring timely and professional responses.
*Proactively communicate with both internal and external customers to ensure smooth operations.
*Investigate and resolve invoice disputes.
*Log issues, follow up on resolutions, and communicate outcomes back to the customer.
*Take responsibility for executing tasks and support colleagues across several complex areas/processes and queries.
*Work collaboratively with other functions and divisions on cross-functional or customer-specific topics.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Previous experience in a customer service, order management, or contact centre role.
*Strong ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues.
*Proactive and professional communication skills, especially with sales team members and customers.
*Ability to adapt to different types of people and situations to ensure positive outcomes.
*Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and Internet.
*Good knowledge of ERP systems.
Desirable:
*Experience in service and maintenance, order management, or technical customer contact processes.
*Experience handling difficult situations independently.
