Quality Inspector (Lates)

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Inspector to support manufacturing operations within a precision engineering environment. The role will involve CMM and manual inspection, ensuring components meet quality, engineering, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
*First-off, in-process, final, and receipt inspection
*CMM inspection including running and maintaining programmes
*Manual inspection of precision components
*Completion of FAIRs using CMM and manual methods
*Supporting NPI and liaising closely with Engineering
*Raising and managing non-conformances
*Accurate recording of inspection results within MRP systems
*Supporting root cause analysis and continuous improvement
*Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and 5S
Quality Inspection & Measuring Tools
*Confident using manual measuring equipment including: *Vernier callipers
*Micrometers (internal, external, depth)
*Height gauges
*Bore gauges
*Thread gauges (GO/NO-GO)

*Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and inspection plans
*Experience inspecting to tight tolerances and quality standards
Skills & Experience
*Background in quality inspection within manufacturing or engineering
*Experience with CMM and manual inspection methods
*Strong attention to detail and right-first-time mindset
