Join the Ark Fire Protection Team as an Estimator for Fire Doors / Fire Stopping!
Are you passionate about fire safety and playing a crucial role in estimating works to ensure that buildings remain compliant with fire safety regulations and standards? Ark Fire Protection are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team and make a difference!
Role Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to hit the ground running and assist the current estimating team initially with small work enquires, but their role will expand to pricing tenders in excess of £500k.
In this role you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
*Organising Tender information and establishing what the client wants.
*Carrying out take-off from tender documentation and researching/preparing/proposing a specification where possible.
*Researching labour, plant, and material costs.
*Carrying our Site Surveys
*Gathering quotes /Prices from Suppliers and/or subcontractors
*Creating, amending, or populating pricing documents, CSA BoQ
*Attending post tender, prestart meetings face to face or over video call.
*Reviewing and negotiating proposed contract terms.
*Specification writing
*Scope building
Requirements
You’ll be a well presented, approachable and professional, self-starter. Excellent organisation and time management is essential for this role with the ability to work under pressure. Your attention to detail will be thorough and accurate. You must demonstrate effective management and prioritisation of your workload and work to strict deadlines.
*A minimum of 3 years industry experience.
*A clean UK driving licence
*Experience of estimating is highly desirable, however, graduates and those of similar disciplines will be considered if they have knowledge of Passive Fire Stopping which is essential.
Experience in working in the following sectors is desirable but not essential:
*New Build
*Commercial
*Healthcare
*Education
*Social Housing
Ideally you will have knowledge and experience working with:
*Fire Curtains
*Cavity Barriers
*Intumescent Coating
*Fire Doors

Salary starting from £40,000 +
Salary will be discussed with each candidate and will be set dependant on experience and qualifications. Company Vehicle will be considered.
