Sales Ledger Clerk Job in Wolverhampton – Permanent, Full-Time
Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm)
About the Role
Trinity House Group is seeking an experienced Sales Ledger Clerk to join our client’s growing finance team in Wolverhampton. This permanent, full-time role is ideal for candidates with proven experience managing high-value, high-volume sales ledgers in a fast-paced finance environment.
As a Sales Ledger Clerk, you will take full ownership of the sales ledger, including national and key accounts. Responsibilities include invoice discounting, multi-currency transactions, web sales reconciliation, and complex account reconciliations. This role is perfect for finance professionals looking to progress their career within a dynamic finance team.
Key Responsibilities *End-to-end management of a high-volume sales ledger
*Raise and process sales invoices, credit notes, and customer statements
*Manage invoice discounting facilities and perform monthly reconciliations
*Accurately allocate and reconcile customer payments
*Handle multi-currency transactions and foreign currency reconciliations
*Process and reconcile web sales and e-commerce transactions
*Monitor bank activity and support cash flow management
*Support credit control and resolve customer account queries efficiently
*Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close
*Maintain accurate financial records using Sage 200 or similar ERP systems
Essential Skills & Experience *Proven experience as a Sales Ledger Clerk, Accounts Receivable Clerk, or Finance Assistant
*Demonstrable experience managing high-value and high-volume sales ledgers
*Experience with invoice discounting
*Knowledge of handling multi-currency transactions
*Experience with web sales reconciliation or online sales platforms
*Strong background in invoicing, cash allocation, credit control, and reconciliations
*Proficient in Sage 200 or similar accounting software
*Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
*Comfortable working with large data volumes and tight deadlines
