Job Description:
I am proud to be representing a local charity located in Warrington who are currently looking to recruit a clinical administrator on a temporary to permanent basis.
The temporary to permanent post is full time role working Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00 totalling 37.5 hours. The annual salary is £24,102 and my client is looking to secure a suitable candidate who can start immediately.
Role Purpose
To act as main point of contact for all communications between the consultants, patients, relatives, staff, and General Practitioners. To provide a comprehensive and efficient secretarial and administrative service ensuring workloads are prioritised and managed, working on an independent basis.
Profile
*To provide a complete, comprehensive, and accurate administrative service including audio typing, photocopying, filing, faxing, emailing and composition of letters and preparation of electronic patient notes
*Responsible for adding carers and family members to database.
*Liaise with relevant personnel to ensure the availability of medical records for outpatient and inpatient attendance and ad hoc purposes.
*To maintain accurate patient records to ensure that they are up to date and all correspondence correctly filed. Ensure that data recorded is accurate and supports reporting and quality assurance.
*Work collaboratively with the clinical administration team and data team to carry out changes to the system.
*To collect, retrieve and distribute patients’ results and/or patient information in readiness for patient review by Doctors/Consultants. To be responsible for typing and distributing letters in a timely manner, ensuring letters are sent via secure NHS email to relevant Healthcare Professionals in a timely manner.
*Attend and minute staff team meetings as requested.
*To develop office and secretarial practices, to continually improve service delivery.
Specification
*High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.
*Experience of working in an administrative role
*Experience of working in a customer facing role or dealing with people on a day-to-day basis
*The ability to keep accurate computer and paper records.
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
