RG Consultancy are helping a well-established and growing business with a turnover of approximately £20m, seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. Key Responsibilities
*Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
*Support the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger functions
*Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
*Process journals, accruals, and prepayments
*Maintain accurate financial records and support month-end close
*Assist with VAT returns and other statutory reporting
*Provide ad-hoc support to the Finance Manager as required
Person Specification
*Previous experience in a similar Assistant Accountant or Accounts Assistant role
*Good understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
*AAT qualified or studying towards
*Strong Excel skills
*High level of accuracy and attention to detail
*Good communication and organisational skills
