Job Description:
Surface Finish Technician
Stafford
6 months
£15.12 per hour PAYE
Prepare and refinish a range of equipment, woodwork, aircraft components, helmets and gas cylinders.
Restore and finish specialist coatings to a high standard using pneumatic, airless and electrostatic systems.
Carry out checks on breathing plant and equipment.
Ensure materials are safely stored, order and rotate stock and ensure correct waste disposal.
Measure and record use of VOCs, air temperatures in Spray Bays, surface thickness of coatings and viscosity of mixed paint.
Record usage of hand operated tools to ensure Hand Arm Vibration limits are not exceeded.
Comply with all statutory, quality and organizational requirements for H&S.
Complete all relevant paperwork.
Candidate:
Skilled in the use of paint spraying equipment, shot-blasting and plastic media cabinets.
Preparation techniques including degreasing, pre-treatments, masking, filling and sanding.
Use of fiberglass and body filler repairs.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, specs, manuals etc.
IT – MS Office applications.
