Halliday Marx have partnered with an outstanding media business to hire a Finance Manager on a permanent basis.


Responsibilities
*Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes, including invoicing, reconciliations, and query resolution.
*Act as the primary finance point of contact for internal stakeholders and external suppliers/customers.
*Supervise and support the Accounts Assistant, including training, task delegation, and workflow management.
*Review and approve event settlements, payments, and transactional postings.
*Perform weekly bank reconciliations and manage bank feeds.
*Oversee weekly payment runs, payroll processing, and cashflow forecasting.
*Manage corporate prepaid card systems and ensure accurate reconciliation.
*Maintain accurate customer and supplier master data.
*Prepare monthly management accounts, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
*Review transactional bookkeeping for accuracy and completeness.
*Calculate and submit VAT and CIS returns.
*Reconcile intercompany transactions and corporate credit cards.
*Oversee stock reconciliations and operational finance reporting.
*Prepare audit schedules and support year-end close.
*Assist with corporation tax queries and statutory reporting requirements.


Requirements
*Strong experience in management accounting and operational finance.
*Solid working knowledge of Xero or similar accounting systems.
*Experience managing AP, AR, payroll, cashflow, and reconciliations.
*Confident communicator with ability to liaise across departments.
*Highly organised, detail-oriented, and process-driven.
*Experience supervising or mentoring junior finance staff.
*Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (AAT / ACCA / CIMA / ACA) preferred but not essential, depending on experience.
