A well-established and fast-growing premium food distribution business supplying the foodservice and hospitality sector is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and optimise its end-to-end operations function.
This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring operational excellence across warehouse, transport, and planning functions within a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.


The Role
Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will take full ownership of:
*Warehouse operations (receiving, storage, picking and dispatch)
*Transport and fleet management, including route planning and delivery performance
*Demand and resource planning
*Inventory accuracy and stock control
*Food safety and compliance standards
*Continuous improvement initiatives
*Team leadership and performance management
You will play a critical role in driving efficiency, service levels, and operational scalability to support continued growth.


The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking an operational leader who has:
*Proven experience within food distribution, food wholesale, or foodservice operations
*Strong background in warehouse management and transport logistics
*Experience managing temperature-controlled or perishable goods (highly desirable)
*Demonstrated ability to lead teams and implement performance improvements
*Strong planning capability and analytical mindset
*A hands-on leadership style with a continuous improvement focus
Experience within premium, quality-driven or hospitality-focused supply businesses would be advantageous.
