Zero2Five are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run nursery located near Southend-on-Sea. This Ofsted-rated ’Good’ setting offers a warm, homely environment where children are encouraged to thrive, explore, and reach their full potential.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join this friendly and supportive team. Both full-time and part-time hours are available, offering flexibility to suit your needs.
The Role As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care and education to children aged 0–5 years. You will help create an engaging, nurturing environment where every child feels safe, valued, and inspired to learn.
Key Responsibilities * Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for children and their families.
* Deliver engaging learning experiences using a Planning in the Moment approach.
* Support and manage daily routines, ensuring children are supervised and engaged in meaningful, age-appropriate activities.
* Observe, assess, and record children’s progress to inform future planning.
* Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and colleagues to support each child’s development.
* Promote children’s health, safety, and overall well-being at all times.
* Work collaboratively with the team to maintain and enhance the quality of care and education.
* Support and mentor less experienced team members, contributing to a positive and professional working culture.
Requirements * A recognised Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare & Education (or equivalent).
* Previous experience working within an Early Years setting.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development through play.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development.
