Job Description:
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Duties
*Monitor and manage overdue accounts to ensure prompt payment collection
*Contact clients via phone, email, or letter to follow up on outstanding invoices
*Maintain accurate records of all communications and payment activities
*Collaborate with colleagues to resolve account discrepancies
*Process payments and update account information efficiently through data entry tasks
*Assist with credit checks and evaluate client creditworthiness as needed
*Uphold excellent phone etiquette when liaising with clients and internal teams
Experience
*Proven experience in credit control is desirable
*Familiarity with accounting software and data entry procedures
*Strong analysis skills to interpret financial data effectively
*Ability to work independently whilst collaborating within a team environment
