Reporting to: Financial Controller

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an AAT Qualified Assistant Management Accountant looking to take the next step in their career. This role is to to join a reputable manufacturing company in mid Essex with clear progression to Management Accountant.
This role offers the chance to take ownership of the monthly management accounts process and work closely with senior finance leadership across the wider Group.
The Role:
As Assistant Management Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts and leading the month-end close procedure. You’ll play a key role in cash flow forecasting and support the Financial Controller and Finance Director in harmonising processes across the Group. This is a varied position that will see you involved in quarterly VAT returns, ad hoc projects, and providing crucial support during annual external audits.
You’ll also work collaboratively with colleagues across the finance function, assisting with credit control assessment, processing purchase invoices through Sage Accounts and Concur, and driving work in progress reduction initiatives across the business.
About You:
*AAT qualified accountant (or equivalent) with Aspirations to continue studying
*Strong technical accounting skills and advanced Excel proficiency.
*Experience with Xero highly desirable
*Strong drive to develop
*Previous experience within a similar role (min 2-3 years)
Please note; You will need to be a driver for this opportunity due to it’s location to the South of Colchester.
