Job Description:
IHDB (International House Development & Build) specialises in house developments and refurbishments, leading projects across all Soho House locations. The Project Accountant will own complex accounting activities, lead budgeting and forecasting, and ensure accurate financial reporting. The role partners with cross-functional teams, mentors team members and drives process improvements.

Description
*Deliver strategic financial insights to senior leadership.
*Lead complex projects, budgets, multi-scenario forecasts, and long-range plans.
*Run forecasting cadence end-to-end with variance analysis.
*Act as a hands-on project accountant, diving into details to ensure financial accuracy and robust reporting.
*Review, challenge, and validate project costs, budget changes, and capitalisation requests. Confidently pushing back where required.
*Ensure alignment with capitalisation rules, accounting policies, and financial governance frameworks.
*Oversee contract terms, pricing, and approve complex invoicing.
*Contribute to statutory financial statements and audits in compliance with GAAP.
*Align reporting standards with Group Accounting and support audit initiatives.
*Champion process improvement and automation.
*Mentor team members and set quality standards.
Profile
*5-8 years of experience in project accounting or related roles.
*Professional qualification (ACCA/ACA/CPA or equivalent).
*Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
*ERP experience (Oracle or similar) and strong Excel proficiency.
*Skilled in variance analysis, margin optimisation, and cashflow management.
*Strong controls knowledge.
*Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
*Leadership experience mentoring junior staff.
