Job Description:
Depot Facilitator Assistant
*Job Type: Part-time, Temporary Contract
*Location: S70, Barnsley
*Hours: 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday
*Session Delivery Window: 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm daily
Join our team as a Depot Facilitator Assistant, supporting frontline waste and highways staff at our training and wellbeing cabins. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth, safe, and productive environment for staff accessing wellbeing resources, online platforms, and council-provided training activities.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Prepare training and wellbeing cabins for daily use, ensuring they are ready and welcoming.
*Set up laptops and other equipment before sessions and securely store them afterward.
*Provide basic digital support to staff, helping them access the council’s intranet (Xtranet), online courses, and wellbeing resources.
*Support the delivery of training sessions and scheduled wellbeing activities.
*Maintain professional behaviour and standards within the cabins at all times.
*Assist the wider professional team in coordinating a programme of activities for frontline staff.
*Report any issues with equipment, attendance, or conduct as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Ability to work independently with initiative and reliability.
*Confidence in supporting others with computer use and basic digital tasks.
*Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to encourage professional conduct.
*Willingness to support a varied programme of training and wellbeing activities.
*Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
