Job Description:
Year 5 Teacher
*Location: East Grinstead
*Job Type: Part-time (4 days a week)
*Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
Reed Education are supporting a lovely school with their Year 5 Teacher role which is due to start ASAP until the end of the academic year. This will be teaching Year 5.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
*Register the attendance of pupils and promptly address any issues, keeping the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) informed.
*Take full responsibility for teaching the prescribed National Curriculum, focusing on the priorities of the School Improvement Plan.
*Prepare medium-term and short-term plans following whole school agreements and schemes of work.
*Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils.
*Communicate and consult with parents of pupils in a professional manner, ensuring all developments are communicated to the SLT.
*Collaborate with outside agencies and attend required meetings, keeping the SLT informed of any developments.
*Maintain good order and discipline among pupils, both on school premises and during offsite visits, in line with School Policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
*Experience in teaching at the primary level, specifically Year 5.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to plan and execute effective classroom management strategies.
*Proficiency in assessing and reporting on pupil progress.
