Avencia Talent Solutions are partnered with a well known Specialty Insurer who have a newly created position for a Strategic Planning Associate to join their growing Planning function in London.
The role
We are seeking a highly motivated Strategic Planning Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and a passion for driving business performance through strategic insights and planning.
Key accountabilities
*Partner with underwriters, actuaries, and other stakeholders to support premium planning and forecasting.
*Build and maintain financial models to inform strategic decision-making and growth initiatives.
*Research market trends and generate commercial insights to support both short-term and long-term planning.
*Deliver clear and compelling narratives around premium forecasts by class of business, incorporating market context.
*Monitor actual performance against planned premiums and provide variance analysis.
*Produce tailored analyses and reports to meet diverse business needs.
*Manage planning processes and timelines across cycles.
*Collaborate with developers to enhance and maintain planning systems aligned with evolving business requirements.
Skills & experience
*Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
*Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
*Prior experience in insurance is a plus but not essential.
*Self-starter with a strong desire to learn and take ownership.
*2-4 years of experience in, Consulting, Transaction Services, Corporate Finance.
