Role: Laser Setter/Operator (Rotating Shift)
Location: Dudley
Hourly Rate: £14ph to £14.50ph (depending on Shift)
Hours of work: Morning: Monday to Friday - 6am to 2.30pm, Afternoons: Monday to Thursday - 2pm to 11.30pm, Friday - 2pm to 6pm

Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Laser Setter Operator to join our client in Dudley. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a well-established manufacturing company. If you have previous experience setting and operating laser machines, this is the opportunity for you. A valid counterbalance fork truck licence is preferred; however, this is not essential for the right candidate.


Key Responsibilities:
*Setting, programming and operating laser cutting machines in line with production schedules.
*Carrying out machine start-up checks and ensuring correct parameters are set for each job.
*Loading raw materials safely and efficiently onto machines.
*Monitoring cutting performance and making adjustments where necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
*Unloading finished cut parts and inspecting for accuracy and defects.
*Deburring, cleaning, and preparing parts where required.
*Sorting, labelling and organising parts ready for dispatch to customers.
*Completing relevant production paperwork and job documentation accurately.
*Ensuring quality standards are consistently maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
*Carrying out basic machine maintenance and keeping equipment clean and in good working order.
*Adhering to all health and safety procedures at all times.
*Supporting general production and warehouse duties as required.
Requirements:
*Previous experience operating and setting laser machines (essential)
*Counterbalance forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
*Ability to undertake heavy lifting
*Good attention to detail
*Reliable and able to work alternating shifts
