Description
The Assistant Accountant’s duties will include but are not limited to:
*Review and reconcilie balance sheet codes.
*Calculating and posting journals.
*Posting of accruals and prepayments.
*Confirmation of cleared funds and setting up bank payments.
*Reconciliation of vehicle stock check to nominal ledger reports.
*Providing holiday cover for other accounts functions including bank reconciliations and cash banking.
*Reviewing and running reports as required.
*Ad hoc support.
Profile
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
*A solid foundation in accounting principles and practices.
*A relevant qualification or working towards one, such as AAT, ACCA or CIMA (or have equivalent experience).
*Experience in financial reporting and reconciliations.
*Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
*The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
