People Advisor - 6 Month FTC
Location: Manchester City Centre
Salary: Up to £40,000

I’m delighted to be supporting a Manchester-based organisation in their search for a People Advisor to join their HR team on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract.
This is a hands-on role supporting a busy People function through a period of increased activity, initially focused on supporting a departmental restructuring project.
This opportunity would suit an experienced HR generalist or People Advisor who is confident managing employee relations processes, comfortable operating at pace, and enjoys being close to the operational detail while providing practical HR support to managers.
The Role
Working as part i=of a wider People team, you will play a key role in supporting both employees and managers through change, ensuring processes are managed fairly, consistently and in line with employment legislation and company policy.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Advising managers on policy, process and best practice
* Supporting a departmental restructuring programme
* Coordinating and supporting selection processes
* Attending and supporting consultation meetings
* Preparing documentation and managing associated HR administration
* Supporting managers with employee relations queries as required
About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Has previous experience operating in a People Advisor or HR Generalist role
* Is confident supporting restructures, consultations or organisational change
* Has strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR processes
* Is organised, detail-focused and comfortable managing high volumes of work
* Communicates confidently with managers and employees at all levels
