We are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic individual to join our established team.
Reporting to our Head of Compliance & Building Safety, our Compliance Lead will lead and develop a team while maintaining oversight of wider staff to ensure consistent, high-quality compliance processes and service delivery. They will be responsible for managing and continuously improving asbestos, legionella and LOLER compliance, providing technical expertise, ensuring accurate data and reporting, monitoring contractor performance, and supporting a safety-first culture in line with evolving regulatory standards.
In addition, we are looking for candidates that have a passion to advocate on behalf of people and communities.
What do our Compliance Lead – Asbestos, Legionella, Lifts do;
*Act as the organisation’s competent person for asbestos, legionella and lifting equipment compliance—leading statutory adherence, managing risk, and ensuring alignment with all relevant regulations such as CAR 2012, Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, Lifting Equipment: LOLER 1998 (thorough examination and reporting), PUWER 1998 and all associated guidance
*Develop and implement compliance strategies, management plans, and procedures, while keeping all technical, legal and regulatory knowledge up to date and embedding changes into policies, specifications and contracts.
*Commission, quality assure and monitor all surveys, risk assessments, inspections and remedial programmes—overseeing contractor performance, ensuring value for money, and safeguarding residents and building users. assure and monitor all surveys, risk assessments, inspections and remedial programmes—overseeing contractor performance, ensuring value for money, and safeguarding residents and building users.
*Provide specialist technical advice across maintenance, design and capital projects; lead incident investigations and statutory notifications; and ensure clear communication with residents and stakeholders.
*Maintain accurate compliance data, reporting and KPIs, and provide strong leadership to team members—supporting competency, training and consistent service delivery while ensuring budgets are managed appropriately.
What we are looking for;
*P901 Management and Control of Building Hot and Cold Water Services and P405 Management of Asbestos in Buildings
*LOLER awareness or management qualification
*Experience of compliance management systems in a social housing context in relation to asbestos, legionella and LOLER
*Demonstrable experience in effective management and delivery of relevant compliance safety data and process management and systems in relation to asbestos, legionella and LOLER
*Experienced in the compilation, management and control of attribute, compliance and activity registers associated with asbestos, legionella and LOLER
*A customer focused approach to service delivery
