Job Description:
Finance & Data Entry Administrator
*Job Type: Part Time, 25 hours
*Working Pattern: Mon-Friday, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
*Location: Solihull
We are seeking a committed and detail-focused Finance & Data Entry Administrator to join our client, a well-established independent hospitality business in Solihull. This role plays an important part in keeping financial records accurate, assisting with day-to-day administrative tasks, and supporting the smooth running of customer facing areas where required.
The ideal candidate will bring some experience in accounts administration, strong data-entry accuracy, and a positive mindset. Day-to-day of the role:
*Input purchase invoices, expenses, credit notes, and financial data accurately into our systems.
*Complete bank, cash, and till reconciliations at a transactional level.
*Update ledgers and assist in maintaining accurate financial records.
*Process supplier statements and raise queries where necessary.
*Support the Accounts Assistant by preparing data needed for reporting, cost analysis, or budgeting.
*Maintain both digital and paper filing systems for all financial documents.
*Work closely with the General Manager and Accounts Assistant to ensure finance workflows are up to date.
*Handle document preparation, filing, and internal communications.
*Maintain spreadsheets, trackers, and internal databases.
*Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and organising paperwork.
*Cover front of house duties as needed, including greeting visitors, answering phones, and handling queries.
*Provide flexible support during busy periods, events, or staff absences.
*Contribute to process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and offering suggestions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Previous experience in accounts administration or transactional finance.
*Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
*Good understanding of basic accounting processes such as purchase ledger, reconciliations, and invoice processing.
*Proficiency with Excel and accounting software Xero.
*Excellent organisational and communication skills.
*Ability to adapt, prioritise workload, and handle varied responsibilities.
*Experience in fast-paced customer-facing environment is desirable.
