Location: Fully Remote (Very Occasional Travel to London Offices)
Rate: £516.70 per day (Inside IR35)
OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with strong Business Analyst capabilities to support a high-profile public sector programme. This is a 12-month contract opportunity working on critical digital transformation initiatives that deliver meaningful impact to citizens and public services.
The role is fully remote, with very occasional travel to London-based offices for key workshops or stakeholder sessions.
The RoleYou will operate at the heart of a multidisciplinary Agile delivery team, ensuring effective Scrum practices while also contributing to business analysis activities. This is a hybrid role suited to someone who can facilitate Agile ceremonies with confidence while also eliciting, analysing, and documenting business requirements.
You will play a key role in enabling delivery momentum, removing impediments, and strengthening collaboration between technical teams, product owners, and senior stakeholders.
Key ResponsibilitiesScrum Master Duties
*Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives)

*Coach teams in Agile best practices and continuous improvement

*Remove blockers and manage dependencies across teams

*Support the Product Owner in maintaining a healthy, prioritised backlog

*Track and report on delivery metrics (velocity, burn-down, risks)

Business Analyst Responsibilities
*Engage with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and validate requirements

*Translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria

*Support process mapping and documentation

*Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions

*Ensure traceability from business requirements through to delivery

Essential Skills & Experience*Proven experience as a Scrum Master in Agile delivery environments

*Strong Business Analysis experience within complex programmes

*Experience working within public sector or government environments

*Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills

*Ability to write high-quality user stories and supporting documentation

*Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe desirable)

*Experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence

Desirable*Relevant Agile certifications (e.g., CSM, PSM)

*Business Analysis certification (e.g., BCS, IIBA)

*Experience working on digital transformation or large-scale service redesign

*Understanding of governance and compliance within public sector settings
