Our client is a leading home textiles supplier, supplying UK High Street, Online and Major retailers. They now have an excellent opportunity for a QA Technologist / Manager to join their team in Greater Manchester.


In this role and as part of the QA Team you will need to lead from the front with key customer accounts and QA management. You will need to be aware of customers’ requirements and manage them according to company and customer expectations.
You’ll need to display an adaptive and structured approach to customer accounts management whilst driving continual improvement activities. Engage with other Senior SME’s as part of the QA continual improvement structure to develop a framework of standards for the QA department.


The role will require open communication with all parts of the business, particularly Manufacturing, Marketing, NPD, Purchasing, Logistics, Merchandising and Sales. A critical aspect of the role is obtaining an in-depth knowledge of all customers, and their product demands to ensure they are maximising and are always aligned to the customer expectations.


Key tasks
*Develop, implement, audit and manage quality assurance and control systems to ensure the continuous production of Pillows, Quilts and other Textiles Bedding products based on established customer standards, regulatory requirements, specifications, and production efficiency goals.
*Monitor and ensure the quality of goods sold and lead Quality responsibilities within the business.
*Front line key account management of Retail customer accounts.
*Manage all product compliance requirements for customers including testing and other compliance certificates gathering, technical file creation, claims substantiation, user trials and product sealing/approval.
*Ensure accurate and timely communication with internal and external customers to complete tasks and bring resolutions to issues.
*Be part of and schedule where necessary audits, following up on NC’S for all sites. Collaborating with auditors and other stakeholders to ensure company standards achieve Customer compliance.
*Be a driving force behind product compliance requirements, both those of the product and those requested by customers.
*Ensure compliance certification, technical files and audit records are up to date and compliant.
*Be confident and comfortable representing the department in group discussions / environments.
*Maintain good relationships with both internal and external customers.


What will you need?
*QA knowledge and experience within Textile industry.
*Excellent people skills, able to quickly establish rapport and working relationships between existing teams.
*Confident communicator who is comfortable taking the lead in building customer relationships using strong commercial acumen.
*Capability to multitask in a challenging environment whilst maintaining communication.
*Focused on achieving high results and generating ideas for improving ways of working.
