At Engage Education, we’re working closely with a number of secondary schools across Bromley to recruit reliable and confident Cover Supervisors to support on a supply basis, covering both planned and unplanned staff absences. You can set your availability week by week, making this role ideal for those seeking part-time or full-time flexibility.
About the Role*Covering lessons across the school for PPA time or staff sickness
*Delivering pre-set work across a range of subjects
*No previous Cover Supervisor experience required
*A degree is essential
*Must have experience working with young people (e.g. support worker, youth worker, sports coach, TA, mentoring roles)
*Behaviour can be challenging at times, so you’ll need to be adaptable, confident, and personable
Your Role as a Cover SupervisorAs a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise pupils while they complete pre-planned work in the absence of teaching staff. Your primary focus will be classroom management and behaviour, ensuring learning continues smoothly.
*Supervising pupils and ensuring completion of set work
*Managing classroom behaviour effectively
*Supporting pupils with questions where appropriate
*Following school behaviour and safeguarding policies
*Collecting completed work and passing it to the relevant Head of Department
*Providing brief feedback on pupil engagement and behaviour
