Job Description:
I’m working with a highly regarded, people-focused architecture practice to appoint a part-time Credit Controller to join their established finance team.
Working 20 hours per week (ideally across 5 hours per day, Monday to Thursday), this is a key role responsible for managing the practice’s debtor ledger and ensuring the smooth running of the credit control function. You’ll work closely with the Finance Manager, Directors and Project teams, playing an important part in maintaining healthy cash flow across the business.

This role is based in South Manchester.
Key Responsibilities
*Managing the full credit control process, including chasing outstanding payments via phone, email and letter
*Raising invoices and applications accurately and in a timely manner
*Allocating incoming payments and reconciling client accounts
*Setting up new client accounts and maintaining accurate records
*Monitoring credit risk and supporting client account management
*Producing aged debtor reports and supporting monthly finance reporting
*Resolving invoice queries in collaboration with Project Managers and Directors
*Supporting project set-up, fee updates and project maintenance on the finance system
*Assisting with month-end reporting and general finance administration
*Providing ad-hoc support to the wider finance team as required
Skills and Experience
*Previous experience in a Credit Controller, Sales Ledger or similar finance role
*Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
*Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with colleagues and clients at all levels
*Proactive approach with the ability to manage your own workload
*Good systems skills, including finance systems and Excel
*Professional services, consultancy or architecture industry experience would be advantageous, but not essential
