Job Description:
Kenneth Brian Associates are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing construction company based in Croydon. We are seeking an experienced Senior Billings Administrator to take full ownership of the billing function within the business.
This is a standalone role, ideal for a confident and detail-oriented professional who thrives on responsibility and can manage the end-to-end billing process independently.
The RoleAs the sole Billings specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s billing operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely invoicing across multiple projects.
You will work closely with Project Managers, Commercial Teams, and Finance to ensure billing aligns with contractual terms and project milestones.
Key Responsibilities*Full responsibility for the end-to-end billing process
*Preparation and submission of applications for payment and invoices
*Ensuring billing aligns with project contracts, schedules, and variations
*Managing retention, stage payments, and final accounts
*Reconciling billing discrepancies and resolving queries
*Maintaining accurate records of all invoicing activity
*Liaising with internal departments to gather supporting documentation
*Supporting credit control with invoice queries where required
*Producing billing reports for senior management
*Reviewing processes and implementing improvements where necessary
About You*Proven experience in a billing role within the construction industry (essential)
*Strong understanding of construction contracts, applications for payment, and retentions
*Experience managing billing as a standalone function or senior-level responsibility
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
*Confident communicator with the ability to liaise across departments
*Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems
*Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently
