Job Description:
Temporary Compliance Officer
Leading UK law firm based in the City is seeking a Temporary Compliance Officer on an initial one-month assignment, to assist with the management of the firm’s client onboarding process.
*Competitive hourly rate
*09:30-17:30 working hours
*Initial in-office / in-person attendance
*Hybrid working – 3 days in the office / 2 days remote
Temporary Compliance Officer Key Responsibilities:
*Assisting and ensuring that due diligence is conducted on all clients of the firm
*Reviewing client matter files to ensure that proper client opening, maintenance and CDD procedures have been followed
*Answering AML queries from fee earners and other staff, escalating as necessary
*Processing conflict search requests and analysing results
*Managing a shared inbox of incoming requests for new client and new matter openings
Temporary Compliance Officer Skills & Requirements:
*Must be available to start immediately, or at very short notice
*Previous experience in a Compliance role, ideally within a law firm
*A prior exposure to risk assessments and experience in client onboarding
*Experience with 3E would be preferred
