Groundworker – Carlisle
Carlisle | Monday–Friday Dayshift | 40–50 Hours per Week
Prime Workforce Solutions (PWS) are currently recruiting experienced Groundworkers on behalf of a well-established Civil Engineering contractor for long-term contract work based in Carlisle.
This is an excellent opportunity for reliable, skilled operatives seeking steady work through to the end of June / beginning of July — with the potential for extension.


The Role
You will be working as part of a civil engineering team delivering infrastructure and groundwork packages. Duties will include:
*Concrete works (including pouring, finishing, and associated groundwork)
*Cabling and troughing
*Excavation and digging
*Laying paving and kerbing
*Tarmac works
*General site groundwork duties as required


Working Hours
*Monday to Friday – Dayshift
*40–50 hours per week available (depending on site/location)
*Optional Saturday nightshift available (not mandatory)


Requirements
*Valid CSCS Card (desirable)
*Personal Track Safety (PTS) certificate (required for rail-related works)
*CPCS (desirable but not essential)
*Full UK Driving Licence (mandatory)
*Previous experience in civil engineering groundwork
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Strong awareness of health & safety on site
This role would particularly suit candidates local to Carlisle and surrounding areas.
