Head of Marketing
Location: Nottingham (Hybrid, 1 day per week in the Nottingham office)
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 (we will still consider applications if you are slightly outside of this salary range)

Macildowie are working with exclusively with this fast-growing client based in the East Midlands to recruit a commercially focused Head of Marketing to lead and elevate their marketing function within the live events and entertainment industry.
This is a pivotal hands-on leadership role for a business experiencing strong growth across the events world. With a young and energetic marketing team already in place, the business is seeking an experienced marketing leader who can bring strategic direction, commercial acumen and digital expertise to drive online ticket sales and brand growth.
This role combines digital marketing strategy, online sales performance and team development. You will take ownership of marketing output across multiple live events, ensuring campaigns are commercially driven, data-led and executed to a high standard.
You will be responsible for:
*Driving online ticket sales through digital marketing strategy
*Leading and developing a team of marketers (including CRM and content)
*Managing and optimising Meta Ads and paid social campaigns
*Overseeing CRM performance (currently using Brevvo)
*Supporting social strategy and content across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
*Exploring further paid channels including YouTube and TikTok Ads
*Bringing structure, planning and coordination across campaigns
*Contributing to recruitment and team development
*Making confident budget decisions and performance calls
We are looking for an experienced marketing leader with:
*MUST be based in the East Midlands (or <1 hour from Nottingham)
*A genuine passion for live events and music is essential. This is a business built on energy, creativity and audience experience - the successful candidate must actively enjoy being part of this world.
*5-10+ years’ experience of managing a Marketing team: digital marketing, online sales or performance marketing
*A background in events, hospitality, venue management or a similar high-energy consumer-facing sector
*Strong experience running Meta Ads and paid social campaigns
*Commercial understanding of online sales funnels and ROI
*People management experience with the ability to inspire and challenge a young team
*Confidence in making strategic and budgetary decisions
*A proactive, ideas-driven approach with strong follow-through
This is not a purely strategic role - you will be hands-on and highly visible within the team.
Working Arrangement
*Hybrid working (1 day per week in Nottingham) - the rest of the week working remotely
*Primarily weekday-based role
*Attendance at live events required (minimum 1 per month)
*Travel expenses covered when required
