Job Description:
Interim Finance Manager - Capital
Based in London, hybrid working & Inside IR35
Length: 2 months initially
We’re seeking an Interim Finance Manager who will play a key role in delivering accurate and compliant year-end capital accounting for the council’s 2025/26 financial statements.
Key Responsibilities of the Finance Manager - Capital:
*Lead on technical capital accounting for year-end, ensuring accuracy and compliance
*Update and maintain the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring all transactions and valuations are accurately reflected
*Prepare and review capital-related journals, working papers and notes to the Statement of Accounts
*Work collaboratively across Finance, Valuations, and operational services to ensure robust audit-ready outputs
Skills, Experience and Knowledge required of the Finance Manager - Capital:
*Qualified Accountant (CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
*Strong experience in technical financial accounting, preferably within capital and Local Government
*Able to deliver high-quality work to tight reporting deadlines
*
