Role: MOJ Fee Earner
Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Salary: £25,000 - £27,000
Contract: Full time, permanent, hybrid

We are working with a specialist claimant law firm seeking to strengthen its Personal Injury department with the addition of a capable and driven MOJ Fee Earner.
This opportunity is well suited to an individual with experience handling low-value RTA claims within the MOJ Portal who thrives in a structured, target-driven environment while maintaining exceptional standards of client care and file management.
The Opportunity
You will take responsibility for managing your own caseload of MOJ Portal RTA matters from inception through to settlement. Working within a supportive and collaborative team, you will ensure claims progress efficiently in accordance with the Civil Procedure Rules and MOJ Protocol deadlines.
This is a hands-on role offering autonomy, clear performance expectations, and the opportunity to further develop technical knowledge within a fast-paced claimant environment.
What You’ll Be Doing *
Managing a caseload of MOJ Portal RTA claims through Stages 1, 2 and 3
*
Ensuring compliance with MOJ Protocol deadlines and CPR requirements
*
Reviewing liability evidence and medical reports
*
Drafting and submitting Stage 2 Settlement Packs
*
Negotiating settlements with insurers to achieve the best possible outcome for clients
*
Preparing Stage 3 documentation where settlement cannot be agreed
*
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case management records
*
Providing clear, professional advice and updates to clients throughout the lifecycle of their claim
*
Liaising with medical agencies, insurers, third parties and internal departments
*
Working towards agreed KPIs and performance targets relating to settlements, lifecycle and file quality
*
Identifying cases that require exit from the Portal and appropriate escalation
About YouEssential Experience & Skills *
Previous experience handling MOJ Portal RTA claims
*
Strong working knowledge of the MOJ Protocol and CPR
*
Experience negotiating settlements with insurers
*
Ability to manage your own caseload effectively and meet deadlines
*
Excellent client care and communication skills
*
High level of attention to detail and strong organisational ability
*
Confidence using case management systems and Microsoft Office
Desirable Attributes *
Experience handling Stage 3 hearings or preparing court documentation

Ability to identify technical issues such as fraud indicators or liability disputes
*
Proactive and self-motivated approach
*
Resilient and adaptable within a KPI-driven environment
