Part-Time Management Accountant
*Job Type: Part-Time (3 Days Per Week)
*Location: London (Hybrid)
*Annual Salary: £50,000-£60,000 (pro-rata)
Our client, an independent research and marketing consultancy based in central London our looking for an ambitious Management Accountant to join their team on a part-time basis. They are entering the next phase of growth and this is a newly created position, reporting directly into the Directors of the business. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual eager to develop, shape the finance function, and build a long-term career within a respected and growing consultancy.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Monthly & Quarterly Management Reporting
*Prepare monthly management accounts.
*Produce P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and commentary.
*Present insights to the Managing Director.

*Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning
*Lead the budgeting process and quarterly re-forecasting.
*Monitor performance against budget and identify risks.
*Provide scenario modelling for planning.

*Project & Commercial Finance
*Monitor project budgets, margins, and profitability.
*Review pipelines and revenue forecasts.
*Support pricing conversations and new-business costings.

*Financial Controls & Process Improvement
*Improve financial processes, tools, and reporting dashboards.
*Strengthen internal controls.
*Own month-end processes including accruals and journals.

*Billing, Cashflow & Operational Finance
*Oversee invoicing and revenue recognition.
*Support credit control and cashflow.
*Monitor supplier invoices and expenses.

*External Accounting Liaison
*Key point of contact for external accountants.
*Prepare information for statutory accounts, tax, and payroll.

*Business Partnering
*Support strategic decisions with financial insight.
*Partner across teams to improve commercial awareness.
*Provide ad-hoc analysis as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Part-qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) or Qualified by Experience
*Previous Management Accounting experience.
*Strong understanding of P&L, forecasting, budgeting, and project accounting.
*Excellent Excel / modelling skills.
*High attention to detail with commercial awareness.
*Comfortable working in a small, growing business.
