Job Description:
REED Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a leading Engineering & Manufacturing company
Key Responsibilities
*Safety Leadership: Enforce all company Health & Safety policies, conduct safety audits, and investigate incidents to maintain a zero-harm environment.
*Production Management: Direct daily operational activities, ensuring production plans are met efficiently to meet customer specifications and volume requirements.
*Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and motivate a multi-disciplined team of operators, technicians, and maintenance staff.
*Process Optimization: Identify and implement Continuous Improvement (CI) projects, including Total Quality Management (TQM) initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
*Reporting & Handover: Complete daily shift reports and conduct thorough handovers to the next shift.
Requirements & Qualifications
*Experience: Proven experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment, with strong preference for prior experience within a metals background such as forging, heat Treatment, melting or machining etc
*Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and coach teams, preferably in a heavy engineering environment.
*Flexibility: Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
*Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft and, ideally, maintenance/production management software.
