About the Role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated, proactive and highly skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to join a well-established organisation within their Infrastructure & Resilience function. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling complex technical challenges, improving stability and continuity across business-critical systems, and working across a broad Microsoft-focused technology estate.
Key Responsibilities:
*Core Infrastructure Services (Microsoft ecosystem)
*Identity & Access Management (Entra ID / Azure AD)
*Virtualisation platforms (Hyper-V / enterprise virtualisation technologies)
*Cloud Platform administration (Microsoft Azure)
*Business Continuity & Resilience practices across systems and applications
What I’m Looking For:
You will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within a corporate IT environment and demonstrable, hands-on experience across:
*Microsoft Server, Microsoft 365
*Entra ID / Azure Active Directory
*Azure cloud administration
*Linux (advantageous)
*Enterprise virtualisation technologies
*Server hardware, SAN/NAS storage
*TCP/IP networking fundamentals
*Scripting/programming concepts (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash)
Desirable Experience:
*Exposure to formal project frameworks (e.g., Agile, Prince2)
*Understanding of ITIL and service management practices
*Proven ability to troubleshoot multi-layered technical issues
*Strong documentation and communication skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels
