Job Description:
Management Accountant
*Annual Salary: £45,000- £55,000
*Location: London
*Job Type: Full-time (Hybrid Working)
Join a leading large-format digital Out-of-Home media network in London as a Management Accountant. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and supporting various accounting operations. Day-to-day of the role:
*Play a key role in the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
*Prepare and post month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, and other adjustments.
*Produce balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong control over key accounts.
*Support VAT returns and other statutory or regulatory filings.
*Maintain the fixed asset register, including depreciation and asset reconciliations.
*Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate variances.
*Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including purchase and sales ledgers, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
*Process sales invoices, purchase invoices, and employee expenses as required.
*Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries with internal and external stakeholders.
*Support credit control activities, including aged debt reporting and follow-up.
*Assist with payroll preparation and related reconciliations where applicable.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a similar accounting capacity.
*Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping.
*Experience owning month-end and supporting management account processes.
*Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).
*Familiar with accounting software, ideally Sage.
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
*Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
*Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
Desirable (Nice to Have):
*Experience assisting with audit preparation.
*Knowledge of VAT and compliance in the UK.
*Experience in a fast-paced environment.
*Exposure to budgeting and forecasting processes.
