Overview Join an independent engineering and sustainability consultancy dedicated to delivering tailored, practical, and well-engineered sustainable solutions. We are seeking a passionate and mission-driven Sustainability Consultant or Senior Sustainability Consultant to support our clients in achieving their environmental and corporate sustainability goals. Day-to-Day *Managing and delivering environmental assessments for buildings, ensuring compliance with BREEAM, LEED, and WELL standards.
*Collaborating with clients to develop and implement sustainability strategies tailored to their needs.
*Conducting research and staying updated on the latest sustainability trends and innovations.
*Preparing and presenting reports, data analyses, and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
*Supporting planning applications with sustainability services and documentation.
Responsibilities As a Sustainability Consultant, you will:
*Provide sustainability support to clients, including environmental certification of buildings, development of sustainability strategies for buildings and masterplans, and organisational support to meet corporate sustainability requirements.
*Manage environmental assessments of buildings using BREEAM, LEED, and WELL standards, including evidence gathering and certification processes.
*Offer consultancy advice on sustainability issues such as water efficiency, health and wellbeing, and waste management.
*Develop and review emerging sustainability trends to ensure clients remain at the forefront of sustainable practices.
*Coordinate and deliver sustainability services to support planning applications.
Qualifications We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and skills:
Essential: *A degree in science, environmental studies, engineering, architecture, or energy.
*At least 2 years of experience for Consultant level or 4+ years for Senior Consultant level.
*Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical and non-technical information clearly, both verbally and in writing.
*A solid understanding of energy and sustainability planning policy, particularly in London, with project experience in developing sustainability strategies for planning.
*Proficiency in data analysis using tools such as Excel.
Desirable: *BREEAM Assessor qualification.
*BREEAM Accredited Professional (AP) qualification.
*Knowledge and experience in energy-efficient building design and specification.
*Familiarity with net zero carbon standards.
