Job Description:
Property Accountant - Permanent - Brighton (office based) - £40-50k
My client are a well established property management company based in central Brighton and are looking for an experienced Property Accountant to join the team. The business have a broad portfolio covering a range of residential and commercial property.
As their new Property Accountant you will lead on service charge accounting, reporting into the directors and providing financial support to, and dealing with queries from, the property managers & tenants.
Property Accountant responsibilities:
*Prepare annual service charge budgets and year-end accounts
*Maintain service charge ledgers and tenant statements
*Bank reconciliations, and cashflow reports
*Process rent, service charge, and insurance receipts
*Work with property managers to explain variances and financial performance
*Prepare property management accounts inc. VAT returns
