Quality Control Technician
*Location: Calne, Wiltshire
*Job Type: Temporary (4-5 months)
*Salary: £33k-£37k depending on experience
*Shifts: 12-hour shifts, 3 days on, 3 days off (days and nights rotating)
If you have experience working in quality control within a manufacturing environment, then this could be ideal for you! This would suit someone who has worked in quality or someone with a background as a production operative/technician with some knowledge of working on quality checks of products.

What You’ll Be Doing
*Carry out quality checks throughout your shift, ensuring full compliance and accurate reporting.
*Perform testing, visual inspections, and support manufacturing teams to uphold all SOPs.
*Work closely with operations to drive continuous improvement and maintain adherence to international quality standards.
*Assess and investigate non-conformances, segregating and reporting defective products.
*Conduct laboratory testing at the start of each new production run and as required by standards and procedures.
*Complete frequent dimensional checks, recording results in the company LIMS system and reporting any variances.
*Carry out regular online extrusion inspections to ensure consistent product quality.
*Keep Quality Department areas clean, organised, and safe, following all housekeeping and safety procedures.
*Provide cover for colleagues during absence.
*Maintain accurate documentation, including detailed handovers during shift changes.


Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Previous experience working in manufacturing or production
*Good understanding of quality systems and requirements
*Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with colleagues.
*Proficiency with systems and PC-based programs, including Microsoft applications.
