Description
Key responsibilities for the Interim Procurement Manager:
*Developing procurement policies, processes, and governance appropriate for a college environment
*Building a central view of contracts and supplier arrangements
*Providing expert advice and support to teams across the college
*Leading sourcing exercises, tendering activity, and negotiations
*Ensuring compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 and relevant sector regulations
*Supporting value-for-money decisions and effective supplier management
*Creating positive relationships with stakeholders and promoting good procurement practice
Profile
A successful Interim Procurement Manager should have:
*Experience in procurement within the public sector, education, or a regulated setting
*Strong knowledge of public procurement rules and processes
*The ability to introduce new approaches in a clear, engaging, and practical way
*Excellent communication skills and the confidence to influence and advise stakeholders
*Strong analytical and commercial awareness
*(Desirable) A CIPS qualification or working towards one
Job Offer
*Competitive daily rate between £450 and £600, depending on experience.
*Hybrid working pattern - 2/3 days on-site.
