Job Description:
Lynx Recruitment are recruiting for a specialist engineering consultancy working in highly regulated industries. We are seeking an experienced Senior Stress Engineer to deliver high-quality structural and stress analysis on complex engineering projects.
RoleYou will lead and support design analysis activities, ensuring designs are safe, compliant, and cost-effective. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams and act as a technical focal point for analysis.
Key Responsibilities*Perform and review stress and structural analysis (hand calculations and FEA)
*Produce and check design substantiation reports
*Support and influence design for integrity and manufacturability
*Mentor junior engineers
*Liaise with clients and project teams
*Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
Requirements*Degree/HNC/HND in Engineering (or equivalent)
*Strong experience in stress analysis and Mathcad
*Knowledge of relevant structural and mechanical standards
*Experience in regulated environments (ideally nuclear)
*FEA experience (ANSYS/ABAQUS/NASTRAN) and 3D CAD
*Strong communication and time management skills
*Right to work in the UK
