Job Description:
The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to build on your early careers expertise while developing hands-on experience in employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and HR operations. Working closely with senior HR leaders and business stakeholders, you will support a designated client group and play an active role in delivering people initiatives that drive performance and engagement.
You’ll remain involved in trainee and early careers activity, but with a significantly wider remit - making this an ideal progression opportunity for someone ready to deepen their HR capability.
What You’ll Be Doing
*Partnering with managers to provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance.
*Supporting employee relations matters including absence, probation, and performance processes.
*Assisting with appraisals, salary review cycles, and development planning.
*Coordinating onboarding, leavers, and contractual changes.
*Contributing to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
*Supporting early careers and trainee processes where relevant.
*Producing people data reports and maintaining HR systems.
This role would suit someone who:
Has experience in Early Careers, Graduate Recruitment, or Trainee Development, ideally within legal or professional services.
*Is keen to move into a broader HR Generalist / HR Advisory capacity.
*Has strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
*Is confident handling sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.
*Wants to develop deeper exposure to employee relations and HR strategy.
*Is CIPD qualified or working towards qualification (desirable but not essential).
This is a genuine career development opportunity for someone who understands the legal or professional services environment and is ready to broaden their HR impact. You’ll gain practical exposure across the employee lifecycle, build advisory capability, and work in a collaborative team where development and progression are actively supported.
