Import/Export Coordinator – Sea Freight

Salary: Up to £30,000 (onsite)

Our client, a well-established freight forwarding business based in Laindon Hills, is looking for an Import/Export Coordinator to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities
*Manage sea freight import and export shipments from start to finish
*Handle all relevant documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists and customs declarations
*Liaise with shipping lines, hauliers, overseas agents and customers to ensure smooth movement of goods
*Track shipments and provide regular updates to clients
*Assist with quotations, rate negotiations and customer service support
*Resolve any shipment issues or delays efficiently
*Maintain accurate records within internal systems and ensure compliance with all regulations
Skills & Experience Required
*Experience in sea freight import and export operations is essential
*Good understanding of customs procedures
*Strong communication and customer service skills
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
*Able to work efficiently in a busy, time-sensitive environment
*Knowledge of freight systems/software is advantageous
