Description
Payroll Advisor
*Managing end-to-end payroll processing with accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
*Overseeing daily payroll operations, including data checks, report audits, account reconciliations, and preparing payments to third parties.
*Owning all statutory deadlines, such as monthly RTI submissions to HMRC.
*Supporting additional payroll runs, variable pay elements, bonuses, pensions, and other pay-related activities.
*Ensuring all payroll activities meet legislative requirements, GDPR standards, and internal control frameworks.
*Partnering with HR, Finance, and external providers to maintain a smooth and reliable payroll service.
Profile
Payroll Advisor
*Solid experience in full-cycle UK payroll, preferably in a medium or large organisation, with exposure to hourly paid workforces.
*Experience using different payroll systems (ideally Kronos/UKG, Oracle, Dayforce etc.)
*Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory payments (PAYE, NI, SSP, SMP, etc.), with a clear focus on compliance.
*Confident using payroll software and Excel for data accuracy, validation, and reconciliation.
*Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering error-free results.
*Strong communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive queries professionally.
*CIPP qualification (or working towards it) is beneficial.
*Commutable distance within Hertfordshire (Hatfield)
