Job Description:
Assistant Accountant
*3–6 Month FTC
*Potential to Go Permanent
*£38,000–£40,000
*St Helens , due to location transport needed
*Fully office based 37.5 hours
Beam Recruit is proud to be supporting a rapidly growing business services organisation based in St Helens, as they look to appoint an Assistant Accountant on a 3–6 month fixed-term contract.

What You Will Be Doing
Reporting into the Financial Controller , you’ll support the finance function across a range of core accounting duties, including:
*Assisting with month-end preparation and reporting
*Accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
*Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
*Bank reconciliations and cashflow support
*Assisting with financial data analysis and reporting
*Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting process improvements
*Payroll support (nice to have)
This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment and being part of a team that’s driving improvement.
What Makes You a Great Fit
To be considered, you’ll ideally have:
*Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant / Accounts role
*AAT qualified (or working towards)
*Strong Excel skills and confident working with finance systems
*A proactive, can-do attitude with strong attention to detail
*Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment
*Payroll experience would be beneficial, but not essential
